Our absolute favorite brush pens! Medium brush tips with silky smooth metallic ink. These look great on colored paper!
Great pens for beginners! These have a fine, super sturdy brush tip that makes tackling thin strokes more manageable.
A small brush tip pen perfect for envelope addressing or other small pieces.
You can’t beat two pens in one! Both fine and medium tips are sturdy and smooth.
Designed to be permanent on fabric, but these are great for brush lettering on paper. Fun florescent colors!
These large tip brush pens are great for writing on a variety of surfaces (like all Sharpies are!)
These have a fine regular marker tip and have metallic gold and silver ink.
While ink is difficult to fully erase, this eraser is the best tool to combat ink oopsies.
The best way to keep straight lines when lettering. Especially useful for envelope addressing!
This is our favorite “fancy” notebook. With a dot grid and silky smooth pages, we love this for sketching and practice.
These pocked-sized notebooks are our fav for lettering on the go. They have dot grid pages and come in a variety of colors and quotes!
This paper is perfect to have on hand for practicing your lettering. It is affordable and super smooth. We use this for our printed lettering packets!
This paper works well if you’re looking to practice on a bound pad and is great for any brush pens. It is semi transparent, so you can also put some guidelines underneath. The sheets are thin but ink does not bleed through.
These notepads come in various sizes and with different types of sheets. Along with blank sheets you can opt for lined, dotted or graph paper to help keeping your lettering a uniform size as well as keeping your lines straight.
This paper is wonderful to use for finished lettering projects because it is heavy weight and has a smooth finish.
Similar to the Canon Bristol, we also recommend using the Strathmore Bristol for a heavy weight smooth paper that won’t hurt your brush pens.
JHische is one of our favorite letterers! She helped inspire us to begin our lettering journey.
Lauren Hom’s lettering is to die for. We love this quirky little book and take inspiration from her beautiful work!
