Designed to be permanent on fabric, but these are great for brush lettering on paper. Fun florescent colors!

Artline Stix Brush Markers

These medium tip brush markers are easy to use and come in fun colors.

Pentel Aquash Water Brush Pen

Fill the reservoir with water and dip into the ink color of your choice! This is a great option for white ink brush lettering projects.

Dr. Ph. Martin’s Bleedproof White

A great white ink to pair with your Aquash Water Brush Pen.

Sharpie Brush Tip Markers

These large tip brush pens are great for writing on a variety of surfaces (like all Sharpies are!)

Pen Touch Metallic Marker

With a regular marker tip, these pens have the most lustrous metallic ink. Use for fauxligraphy projects.

POSCA Ultra Fine Gold & Silver

These have a fine regular marker tip and have metallic gold and silver ink.

 

Tombow Ink & Pencil Eraser

While ink is difficult to fully erase, this eraser is the best tool to combat ink oopsies.

Tuff Stuff Eraser Stick

When we sketch lettering and ink over it, this little eraser is essential for getting in the little nooks and crannies around the ink!

Laser Level

The best way to keep straight lines when lettering. Especially useful for envelope addressing!

Metal Ruler

For measuring and both drawing and cutting straight lines.

Essential to for trimming.

X-acto Knife

For perfectly straight cuts. Don’t forget to stock up on extra blades!


Leuchtturm1917 Hardcover Notebook

This is our favorite “fancy” notebook. With a dot grid and silky smooth pages, we love this for sketching and practice.

Rifle Paper Co. Notebooks

We love these gorgeous pocket sized notebooks. They have blank sheets and are always fun to carry around for inspirational lettering while you’re out and about.

Compendium Motto Journals

These pocked-sized notebooks are our fav for lettering on the go. They have dot grid pages and come in a variety of colors and quotes!

HP Premium Paper

This paper is perfect to have on hand for practicing your lettering. It is affordable and super smooth. We use this for our printed lettering packets!

Canson Marker Paper

This paper works well if you’re looking to practice on a bound pad and is great for any brush pens. It is semi transparent, so you can also put some guidelines underneath. The sheets are thin but ink does not bleed through.

Rhodia Notepads

These notepads come in various sizes and with different types of sheets. Along with blank sheets you can opt for lined, dotted or graph paper to help keeping your lettering a uniform size as well as keeping your lines straight.

Canson Bristol Paper

This paper is wonderful to use for finished lettering projects because it is heavy weight and has a smooth finish.

White Heavy Weight Stock Paper

This stock can be trimmed down to your desired size and won’t fade your lettering over time. It can also be folded to use for greeting cards. 

Strathmore 370-9 300 Series Tracing Pad, 9"x12" Tape Bound, 50 Sheets

Strathmore Tracing Paper

This paper is ideal for tracing letters and sketches for practice.

Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper

Similar to the Canon Bristol, we also recommend using the Strathmore Bristol for a heavy weight smooth paper that won’t hurt your brush pens.

Astrobrights Colored Card Stock

A great variety pack of colored paper if you’re looking for fun options. It is acid-free quality paper so works well for finished projects.
